500 Things to do Before I Die (Part I)

O yeah, I have a list of things I wanted to do before I die. In fact, I pretty much have a list on anything (movies to watch before I die, books to read before I die, etc) and I will post all of those things in time. I will post 500 things to do before I die divide in 5 part, 100 things on each post. The things including places I want to see or just random stuffs that other people see interesting and I want to try, and in no particular order as I just scribble on my notes every time I think of something. And I realize that I may never be able to accomplish some of these things as it require a lot of money that I don’t have, but hey, a girl can hope. I first wrote this list on 2010 and still continue to complete it until now. The ones in bold are the things that I already done.

(Please forgive any wrong grammar or structure, it should be noted that English is not my first language.)

  1. Learn to play squash
  2. Take up fishing
  3. Learn how to bowl
  4. Take horseback riding lessons (I love horse, and it looks like fun if I can ride them)
  5. Skydive (this is the daredevil side of me talking)
  6. Have my portrait painted (I’m a sucker for a fine art, why not being the object for once?)
  7. Learn not to say yes when I really mean no (skeptical about this one)
  8. Learn sign language (language is one of my passion, I speak 3 languages at the moment)
  9. Learn to ballroom dance properly (I’ve never been dance before)
  10. Fall deeply in love – helplessly and unconditionally (this is the romance book reader part of me talking)
  11. Learn to scuba dive
  12. Go on a cruise (seems fun)
  13. Go bungee jumping (daredevil again)
  14. Try indoor climbing
  15. Ride on the Orient Express (my love for Hercule Poirot gave me the idea)
  16. Say the words “I Love You” to someone and truly mean it (wave and blow kisses to my twitter friends)
  17. Forgive my parents
  18. Write my will
  19. Take a ride on the highest roller coaster in the country (I LOVE roller coaster)
  20. Find a job I love
  21. Spend a whole day reading a great novel
  22. Donate money and put my name on something (maybe something like a bench in the park or even something bigger)
  23. Accept myself for who I am
  24. Ride the world’s largest Ferris wheels (wherever that is)
  25. Go whale – watching
  26. Give to a charity – anonymously
  27. Run a marathon
  28. Visit Sydney Opera House, Australia (there’s something about Australia that I always love, I just can’t quite put my finger on it)
  29. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris
  30. Spend a day at Disneyland
  31. Have coffee on the sidewalk in Paris
  32. Visit The Smithsonian Museums in Washington, DC
  33. See the actual Eiffel Tower
  34. Live in a foreign country for six months (Malaysia, January – July 2011)
  35. Fly the red eye
  36. Stand up to a bully
  37. Trash a hotel room (this one is difficult to accomplish as I know firsthand how hard it is for housekeeping employee to clean a trashed room. But I really want to try it though)
  38. Learn to play a bridge
  39. Dye my hair (black and red, not at the same time. I was born brunette)
  40. Learn how to perform at least one magic trick
  41. Fast for 3 days. Drink water only.
  42. Wear a really little black dress in public
  43. Settle down
  44. Leave something behind
  45. Scrapbooking
  46. Get married
  47. Design a house
  48. Avoid lying for one whole day
  49. Deliver a eulogy
  50. Change careers
  51. Change diapers
  52. Go to a movie alone
  53. Reconnect with religion
  54. Volunteer
  55. Get a tattoo
  56. Travel abroad
  57. Let go of my past
  58. Host a dinner party
  59. Read all of Agatha Christie’s mystery novels
  60. Get in touch with a long – lost friend
  61. Call the person I think I’ve most wronged. Apologize.
  62. Take a vacation without making a reservation (it was a disaster, won’t do it again)
  63. Throw a punch
  64. Pick the music for my funeral
  65. Buy a hat
  66. Help a stranger
  67. Carry a totem in my pocket
  68. Go to church every Sunday for a month
  69. Watch Casablanca
  70. Discover my life’s purpose
  71. Figure out my priorities
  72. Kick negative habits
  73. Learn to say “no” without feeling guilty
  74. Learn how to take criticism
  75. Develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence
  76. Face my greatest fears
  77. Become a better listener
  78. Eat a meal good enough to be my last

  94. Give up my seat (at theater, on a bus and monorail)
  95. Go on a shopping spree
  96. Spend a day at a 5 star spa
  97. Spend a weekend at a really expensive hotel
  98. Fly first class
  99. Kiss in the rain
  100. Take a martial art class
