My Review on The Future of Our Past by Kahlen Aymes

Characters:

Julia Abbot, Ryan Matthews

The Synopsis:

Julia Abbot and Ryan Matthews have been inseparable best friends since the moment they met. Each of them fight an internal battle unwilling to risk their incredible friendship but unable to quell their deep longing for the other. On the verge of his departure to medical school and to her new job on the opposite coast, Ryan and Julia are forced to face the undeniable truth of their deeper feelings.

My Review:

The Future of Our Past is the first book in The Remembrance Trilogy. This book was amazing from beginning to the last word. This was the story of Ryan and Julia, they were best friends and have been inseparable since the moment they met years ago. But, as Ryan finds himself accepted to Harvard Medical School, the two friends not only have to face being separated by thousands of miles, but they also have to finally come to terms with the fact that what they feel for each other goes way beyond friendship. So they decided to take a chance in love and start a relationship.

Ryan is one of my favorite male characters. He’s smart, sexy and thoughtful. And as I read The Future of Our Past, I can really feel how much he loves Julia. I think every woman deserves to be loved and adored the way Ryan loves Julia. And Julia is a likeable character, she’s sweet towards everyone, kind plus she’s good at cooking.

Their story are beautiful and heartbreaking (and when I say heartbreaking it means I shead tears when I read this book), all they wanted was to be together but sometimes timing and life get in the way and they dealt with it the best way they could. I highly recommend this book for those of you who like sweet love story with a tragedy that makes your heart clenched. The story ends with a cliffhanger, I suggest you purchase the second book as well (Don’t Forget to Remember Me) so you can read it as soon as you finish The Future of Our Past.

My favorite quotes:

“You are my heart. The most beautiful and precious thing in my world. Don’t forget that.”
